At the end of December, McDonald’s Serbia organized a unique charity auction of the iconic orange couch from the TV series Friends, where the company’s partners and collaborators bid to raise funds for the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer – NURDOR Serbia.
The couch was ultimately purchased by the company DaFratello, securing a donation of 210,000 RSD to support children and families facing cancer. Through this gesture, McDonald’s partners demonstrated how a blend of fun, nostalgia, and humanity can translate into tangible good deeds.
The event was enriched by performances from children in the musical ensemble Music of Hope, who presented a short musical program, while young creators from the Creative Educational Center, Milan Pešić and Nevena Milošević, read their original poems, bringing emotion, creativity, and support to the occasion.
“Charity projects are one of the foundations of our business. We are proud that, together with our partners and collaborators, we turned something unique and fun into a concrete form of support for NURDOR.
It is our responsibility to stand with the community and send a clear message of hope and solidarity to children undergoing cancer treatment,” said Anđelka Đurić, Director of McDonald’s Serbia.
The event was attended by numerous company partners, community representatives, brand friends, and supporters of NURDOR.
McDonald’s thanks everyone who participated and showed that humanity has lasting value – just like friendship.
