Ericsson and Bombardier test LTE networks at speeds up to 200 km/h

Before the forthcoming international transportation technologies fair, InnoTrans 2016, Ericsson and Bombardier have tested LTE networks in railroad traffic at speeds of up to 200 km/h. The results of the tests taken so far show that LTE networks are stable at those speeds, which opens the possibilities for supporting communication-based train control and multiservice solutions. such control would result in more efficient and secure traffic management and smaller equipment expenses.
