HP Cloud Solution Drives Business For ROLF Group

HP today announced that ROLF Group, a leading Russian importer and retailer of cars, has migrated its IT infrastructure to an HP cloud environment. Rolf Group now has uninterrupted access to services and applications on a pay-per-use basis, driving business efficiency, freeing resource and saving costs. “Our staff can now carry out ROLF Group’s core business of selling and servicing cars while HP experts provide us with high-quality cloud services for more efficient IT,” says Artem Pletnev, IT operations director, ROLF Group. “HP clouds are based on well-defined architecture and mature processes, providing us with stable operation, high performance and flexibility to implement changes whenever necessary. The transition of ROLF Group’s IT infrastructure to an HP cloud environment is the first, and for now, the only completed project of this scale in Russia.” Applications which previously ran on 150 servers in ROLF Group’s data center have been transferred to a cloud environment deployed in HP’s data center in Germany. The HP cloud solution enables ROLF Group to deploy new IT services rapidly, change resource utilisation when necessary and monitor IT costs closely. IT services for new projects are ordered using a catalogue that lists prices for CPU time and data storage per gigabyte. At the end of each billing period, ROLF Group receives a detailed invoice showing all utilised systems including data storage and backup capacities and mailbox count. In addition, HP provides a Service Level Agreement (SLA) report monthly to ROLF Group.
