HP Leads the Way in Latest NSS Labs NGIPS Group Test

HP announced that HP TippingPoint has completed the most recent Network Intrusion Prevention IPS Group Test.

NSS Labs tested the flagship HP TippingPoint 6100N Next Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) with real-world traffic mixes and multiple exploit attack and evasion techniques. The HP TippingPoint 6100N NGIPS delivered 100 percent coverage against all evasions and attack techniques out of the box with no additional tuning. In addition, 88 percent of exploits were blocked with no tuning. When tuned, the HP TippingPoint IPS blocked over 91 percent of exploits successfully. Measured against a real-world mix of traffic, the HP TippingPoint 6100N delivered 10.7Gbps of inspected throughput.
