McDonald's participant of the conference with the topic of Roma men and women employment

OEBS organized a whole-day conference with the topic of Roma men and women employment, as a part of the project "We are here together - European support for Roma inclusion". OEBS has recognized McDonald’s as a company with significant number of Roma employees. That was the topic covered on the panel discussion by Andjelka Djuric, Manager for Human Resources, Training and Operations in McDonald’s company. Ms Djuric said that there is no precise record of how many Roma people work in their company, because employees are not classified in any way, but by her personal estimate the number is greater than 50, which is 5% of the employees. All of the employees have equal opportunities and possibilities for advancement, and currently a few Roma are being assesed for management training. What is important is that the person is dedicated and willing to work and success will follow.
