Neum will once again become a meeting point of film, the sea, art, and international creators on August 27, 28, and 29, 2026. The Neum Underwater Film Festival 2026 brings a three-day program of film screenings from the official selection, accompanying events, meetings with authors and members of the international jury, artistic programs, networking opportunities, and evening events.
Festival New Feature: “Best Film Poster Award”
This year’s edition also introduces a new festival category – the “Best Film Poster Award” – further connecting film and visual art.
A film poster is the audience’s first encounter with a film. Before the lights go down and the screening begins, the poster already conveys part of the atmosphere, ideas, and identity of the film. This is why the Neum Underwater Film Festival aims to particularly highlight the creativity of authors in the visual presentation of films and to emphasize the poster as an important element of filmmaking and communication with the audience.
The selected promotional posters will be presented to the public within the festival program, giving underwater film stories another space for presentation – beyond the film screen itself.
