The value of a company is reflected in its readiness to launch or join initiatives that provide better living conditions on our planet, but also to help the community in which it operates. McDonald’s is just such a company and has been making efforts in terms of environmental protection, sustainable business and community support since its inception. Both the employees of the company and the guests who enjoy the Mac restaurants every day see and recognize that. McDonald’s presented a commitment to the local community as part of Blic Campaign – Companies for example.
Since its arrival on the Serbian market 34 years ago, McDonald's Serbia has been helping humanitarian and other institutions that provide support to marginalized groups and other vulnerable people. So far, over 100 such organizations have been supported through food donations, monetary donations, donations from "humanitarian money boxes", which are in fact donations from guests of the Mc Restaurant, and the company has enabled people with intellectual disabilities to exercise their human right to work and live in community and more than 60 young people were employed at McDonald’s restaurants. Over one and a half million euros were donated through all these activities.
