Supporting the “Right for moms” project

Ours colleague Silvana Bozovic is one of the moms, which has been given a positive feedback after having a conversation with the National Assembly’s representative about changing of the Law on Financial Support to Families with Children.
The goal of the “Right for moms” campaign is the adoption of legislation which would provide employed mothers with paid maternity leave direct payment from a state budget of Republic of Serbia. This change will enable that employed mothers to wait several months just to receive first allowance after giving birth.
On the other hand, the change for employer will be relieved of bureaucratic procedures in connection with the exercise of maternity benefits, which will stop the bad lending practices of the state.
In order to reach this goal, it has been set for 250 pregnant women and mothers with babies to speak publicly with each of 250 deputies and convince them with their own experience, that the legislation needs to be changed.
