Video traffic will represent more than 50 percent of traffic in mobile networks until 2019

By the end of 2013, it is expected that the number of subscriptions for mobile broadband will exceed two billion. This was pointed out in a new Ericsson Mobility Report, which was presented today at the meeting with the media, held in Belgrade Mikser House. Also, the total number of mobile subscriptions, by the third quarter of this year, was 6.6 billion, and only in the last quarter 113 million of new subscriptions was recorded.
The same study shows that the total number of subscriptions will reach 9.3 billion globally in 2019, of which 2.6 billion will be LTE subscriptions. Regarding data transfer, video will take dominance and it is expected that video traffic will represent more than 50 percent of traffic in mobile networks until 2019.
